Information Systems: The Challenge of Theory and Practice
The Internet is changing the way organizations interact with their environment, especially customers, suppliers, and competitors. The new macro environment has created both opportunities and problems. It is incumbent upon both business managers and government administrators to understand the capabilities of the Internet and to be cognizant of how this relatively new technology may impact the functioning of their organization. The purpose of this book is to present chapters which address some of these aspects. The result is a series of chapters, within four sections, which discuss theoretical and practical aspects of how the Internet is affecting business and government.
